My career started in small animal GP clinic in 1999 made me whole heartedly realise that this was the career for me. Since this time, I have worked in varied roles from Trainee Veterinary Nurse, Lead Surgical Nurse, Locum Co-Ordinator, Pet Pep Presenter, Puppy Preschool Trainer, New Grad Vet Induction Co-Ordinator, Practice Manager Trainer and Practice Manager.
I have worked in many different clinic environments from general practice through to emergency, critical care, and specialty veterinary medicine. I love everything about the veterinary field, the hustle and bustle of clinic life is my happy place.
My main areas of interest are emergency and critical care, high risk anaesthesia, dentistry, building and supporting happy Veterinary teams and client education.

From as early as I can remember, I knew I wanted to work in the veterinary industry. My passion for animals goes unwavered, and so does my desire to constantly learn everything and better my skills.

I finished school and started my first job in the industry at Samford Veterinary Hospital as a large animal vet nurse. I adored every aspect of this phase of my career, and it is still one of my favourite areas to work in today.

I completed my Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at the University of Queensland in 2018. From there, I went into general practice, where I was fortunate to be given amazing opportunities to put everything I had learned into practice. Most recently, I have worked in the emergency and critical care department. I absolutely love the thrill of the unknown and being able to be a part of something so important for that animal, often at some of the worst times of their lives. This will always be an area of passion for me.

I was lucky enough to begin my nursing journey doing everything from yearling prep through to foal watch. During this time I completed my Certificate III in performance horse care and equine nursing. I then moved to Brisbane where I gained a cert III in animal studies, then began working in clincs before completing my Cert IV in vet nursing in 2015. Since then I have worked in small animal general practice as a full-time and locum vet nurse.

Up until 2002, I worked with my ex-husband on our dairy farm, becoming quite successful with our Holstein Stud side of the business. Over the years we had and still are fairly successful with showing cattle and we have also bred some bulls that went to the AI companies.
In 2002, I was given the opportunity to become an IVF Embryologist, specialising in cattle reproduction. This is a job that I love!
In 2009, I joined Warrnambool Veterinary Clinic and trained with AIRC in Certificate 4 of Veterinary Nursing.
I not only worked in the nursing department, but also reception, accounts and most recently inventory management as well as on the LA desk, keeping track of LA jobs and vets.
My qualifications include Diploma of Hospitality, Advanced Diploma in Dairy Farming and Cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing.

Depending on the nature of our interaction with you, we may collect personal information from third parties – for example, information about job applications is collected in manner set out above; where new veterinary practices join the Apiam group and from organisations with whom we have an affiliation. Apiam may also collect personal information about individual veterinary surgeons (for example where other veterinary surgeons are also involved in the care of an animal), contractors and other individuals who interact with us. This information is generally collected for administration and management purposes. We hold personal information in hard copy (paper) or electronic form. If you provide information to us electronically, we retain this information in our computer systems and databases. Information held in electronic form is generally held on servers controlled by Apiam or on servers controlled by third parties under contractual arrangement with Apiam in Australia. Apiam uses physical security, password protection and other measures to ensure that personal information stored in electronic form is protected from misuse, interference and loss; and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. WHY WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may not disclose personal information to third parties unless we are permitted to do so by law or we have obtained consent to do so. We may disclose personal information for the primary purpose for which it is collected or for purposes related to the primary purpose where it would be reasonably be expected that we would use the information in such a way. Veterinary care professionals (for example, veterinary pathologists) in the course of the provision of veterinary care to your pet or animal (where this is consistent with our veterinary surgeons’ legal and professional obligations);
Data analysts, IT service providers and our advisors including our professional advisors (including legal and financial advisors);
Financial institutions involved with administering billing (including administration of insurance and other third-party payment arrangements) and debt recovery; and

OVERSEAS DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
